Don't Cross the Ravester

Today after swim lessons we were having dinner and Karin and I told the kids they could have tator-tots if they finished their main dish plus some salad.  Ellie took care of business and was into the tots well before Ava had eaten 10% of her dinner.  I finally gave them the 2 minute warning (we do this by setting the timer on the microwave - who can argue with the impartial beeping of a microwave?!) and when time was up Ava had not finished and was not able to have tots.  This made her very upset/angry.  She proceeded to tell me that she was no longer my little bebee - she was now mommy's little bebee, would not come downstairs in the morning to have breakfast with me, and would not drive in the jeep with me.  Yikes - we have always joked with people and told them not to get on Ava's bad side (Shawn with the cupcakes, Todd with the head butt at Due Amici, etc...) but this was serious.  However, she eventually cooled down. After prayers as I was getting ready to leave their room Ava told me she was my little bebee again and that she would not be mad at me tomorrow...inferring that she was still mad at me upon going to sleep!!
