Karin's 35th birthday was on Thursday. She came downstairs to a streamer decorated kitchen and a breakfast of french toast, maple sausage, and orange juice. Lunch with Lynn, Amy, Ava, and Bruce at Firebirds which I hear was delicious, and dinner and a movie (Date Night) with James (thanks Ashley for watching the kids).
Branson is continuing his training of the potty AKA potty training. He is doing quite well and enjoys being able to take his potty wherever he wants so that he can in essence have a "throne with a view" if you know what I'm saying.
Ava has been having some anxiety around going to Kindergarten lately. We don't know what happened b/c she has always been so excited to start going to school and she seems to enjoy going to lunch each week with Daddy to hang with Ellie's class. We think it is hitting her that she will have to leav Gilley at home by himself AND miss out on the various fun things that happen while Ellie is currently at school. However, last nights beginner night was really good for her, she had fun, and is currently back to being exicited about going to school. Yea!
Ashley's boyfriend Mark brought a book over to the house last time he was here for Ellie and Ava. It is a GIGANTIC book about space that is full of awesome pictures. The timing is great as the girls just watched the Indescribable video by Luie Giglio on the way home from Disney and LOVED it. We asked Mark why he bought it and he said "b/c it was the biggest book I had ever seen" - and how true that is...
