If you don't know this then you need to. It is strawberry season people!!! There are two strawberry patches up in Concord where you can either buy freshly picked strawberries OR hit the fields and pick your own. Karin grabbed about 8 gallons of them on Saturday; some for her mom, some for Katie, and about 4 for us. Looking at 4 gallons of the most delicious strawberries you can imagine is such a wonderful thing b/c you know that no matter how many you eat there will be tons left over. Thanks to God for his blessings! I stood at the sink and washed them one by one and enjoyed a whole bunch of them.... I pressured Karin to let me go buy some strawberry shortcake angle food cake things and some whipped cream but she refused and promised to make fresh, from scratch, strawberry shortcake on Monday. And did she ever deliver!! What an awesome afternoon snack. Wow.
Monday night I had scheduled time to help my friend Tim replace the LCD screen on his Dell E5500. It has unfortunately been dropped out the back of the car and my best guess was that the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) had been broken. Unfortunately, the process to replace just the $10 CCFL looked a little daunting so we had to fall back to a LCD off of eBay. And after many frustrating minutes I found out that the supposedly compatible LCD was not - as can be seen from the pics.
When kids are not in school they tend to run amok. As was the case today as they found themselves bored and decided to hang many of their stuffed animals from the upstairs banister. They did this very innocently in an attempt to replicate a puppet show of sorts, but when you come across a bunch of animals hanging from the ceiling, you can't help but wonder if you have fallen into some low budget horror film...
