A few weekends back Karin had read that Concord Regional Airport was hosting a formation flying class and we decided to sign up. Just kidding - we decided to enjoy watching these 1950's vintage Navy and Air Force trainers fly over our house all weekend long in formations ranging from 3 to 12 planes. It was truly awesome to see!
Karin suggested that we go over to the airport to actually get close to the planes and check them out. The airport let you walk right out onto the tarmac and check the planes out and many of the pilots were there answering questions as well. It was really fun.
