Well we had a fantastic time at this celebration of little Taylor Gibb's cancer free status. The Gibbs family plus a literal army of volunteers and event planning staff had been working on pulling off this fund-raiser for a very long time. And the results of all that hard work was....an incredible event!!!
Entry tickets were $25 and once in, you were able to do all the rides and special events for free. We kicked things off with face painting of course, followed by caricatures, followed by hours of riding carnival rides, followed by a BMX show, followed by a Restless Street concert, followed by a X-Games motocross jumping show, followed by a Tobymac concert, and ending with a 15 minute firework show. Take a breath.
Highlights:
- Ellie trying three different times trying to use a heavy mallet to make the ball fly up and ding the bell. She is a persistent little thing...and she finally did hit that bell :)
- Hanging out with many YL friends like Ashley, Mark, Lauren, Matt, and the Cuttino's.
- Eating two large pizza's in the dragway grandstands while watching motorcycles fly 60 feet up in the air doing back flips....
- Finding out that Toby & Mac is just one guy (Tobymac). JK.
- Watching/hearing Branson's expression when he finally realized there were motorcycles JUMPING through the air.
- Being able to introduce Branson to his first ever real Monster Truck.
- Seeing how happy Branson was with the gifts from the Cuttino boys. They each gave him a Nascar matchbox car which he literally played with ALL NIGHT LONG.
