Comprehension level may be a little low at times...

So, Branson is coming along pretty well on the speech side of things, we just aren't entirely sure if his brain is keeping up with his mouth... a few reasons why we are starting to really wonder about him:

1 - Whenever I say, "Branson, are you getting so big?", he responds by saying "No, I'm Gilly"....

2 - Just a little bit ago I said "Branson, it's time for a nap", to which he responded "No way" (thanks goes out to Ava for teaching him that lovely phrase).  I responded "Branson, stop being Mr. Cranky Pants" and he said "No I not cranky pants, I wearing shorts"...

3 - While the potty training has come along fairly well, Branson still seems to be struggling with fully comprehending what he is doing.  He doesn't really have very many accidents where he pees in his underwear, but he does seem to be having trouble figuring out that he needs to be on a potty when he poops so we have only intermittent success with that portion of the potty training.  The problem is that I just don't think he is understanding what we are saying when we tell him he needs to actually poop on the potty.  Every time he has an accident, I say "Branson, you need to poop on the potty - not in your pull up/underwear.  And every time I say that he says "Ohhhh, OK Mommy" as if he didn't realize that was how this worked.  Every single time.... The sad thing is that I really don't think he does understand what I am saying...  Some day he'll figure all of this out, right??
