A couple weeks ago Ava, Branson, and I made it in for our final 2nd grade lunch with Ellie. The three of us were pretty consistent all year long making it in on Monday's @ 11:25 for lunch with our favorite 2nd grade class.
We started off each school visit with a trip to the office to sign in as guests and for Branson and Ava to give hugs to their favorite Office Administrator - Miss Laura. Then we meandered down the long hallway to the lunchroom where we could smell good ol classic school sheet pizza and overcooked green beans (my personal fav). Normally Ava and I would peek our heads around the corner to make sure Ellie was there and would then send in our Scout - Branson. He knew right where her table was and almost always found her right away. It was always fun to see Ellie's classmate's eyes light up as they sayw Branson bouncing down the aisle toward their class.
We would eat a brief lunch, talk about the day, talk about some of the kids exciting life happenings, and then by 11:50 we were on our way back out to the car. Fast lunch but over the period of the year all those little time deposits turned in some good interest - in some fun little relationships with her classmates and of course with Miss Ellie.
