Ever since Ellie came along and referred to her birthday as her "happy birthday" we have incorporated that into our family lingo. So....here is a video and some pictures from Branson's 2nd Happy Birthday!
The previous day ended with Branson being insistent that he have "cake-cakes" for breakfast. Being the super mom that she is, Karin made some killer pancakes for him the morning of his birthday and he was like "why would anyone EVER EVER EVER want cake-cakes on their birthday?!"....so WE had cake-cakes and he had oboy (oatmeal).
He opened presents and then went to lunch with Ellie at her school where he also got to go to the Treasure Box in Ellie's classroom (thx Kara Krogal). He then proceeded to salivate around his lollypop more than a hungry lion over a slow gazelle. I went through two paper towels trying to mop up his drool...
It was a fun day and I think we will stay in the birthday sweet spot for the next many years with this kid!
