For the last couple weeks Ava has been having a playdate with her friend Molly on Fridays. One week it is at our house and then the next at Molly's. This past week was Ava's turn to host and as usual they had a blast. This particular Friday they focused in on a few key activities:
- Asking if they could have a snack.
- Playing in the freezer...I mean basement - riding bikes, kicking balls, etc...
- Asking if they could have a snack.
- Playing Mario Cart on the Wii.
- Hanging out with their baby dolls in the reading nook (pictured above).
- Molly wearing Ava's clothes and me pretending all morning that Molly was ACTUALLY Ava b/c she had her clothes on. This confused them both for a little while until Molly figured it out. Then it was just plain fun.
- Asking if they could have a snack.
- Coloring with chalk on the driveway. Actually it was less coloring than it was their plan to scrape the chalk on the ground (not making any particular picture) in order to make piles of chalk dust. Not sure what they were planning on doing with the large piles of dust...they never got beyond the "making piles phase" of that little project. My part of the project was dusting the 2 pounds of dust off their clothes, sending them in for lunch, and then taking the gas powered blower to their messy and potential "tracking the dust in the house" piles. Those poor dust piles didn't stand a chance against the 180 MPH gale force winds. Sorry kids...
