We had a KILLER Fathers Day this year! Karin and the girls pulled out all the stops and we started things with a fantastic breakfast of waffles, eggs, and sausage - yum!! The girls were very excited about the singing cards they got me this year - one sang the song "Stand by Me" and the other was "Here Comes the Chief" - they are still carrying them around the house a week later and continually playing them...
Then in the early afternoon we headed over to our friends Patrick and Laura's house - they live on the lake and had invited us (and the Turner's) over for some Father's Day lake fun. Patrick borrowed a Slip n Slide from the neighbors and did the girls have a fun time on that!! Check out some pics and video's from the Turner's blog: CLICK ME. Then Patrick and I went our for a bike ride before hitting the lake - have to fit in Triathlon training when we can.... Patrick was also kind enough to take us out on their boat so the girls could do a little tubing - Ellie loved it and Ava cried... good times!
Dinner consisted of some amazing ribs, beans, pasta salad, and a Coldstone Creamery cake. I know that will turn out to be one of the best days of the summer - we had such a nice time. Thanks Conneely's for hosting such a great time!
