The results of a lot of planning by a lot of people, the generous donations of many sponsors, and a lot of volunteer sweat and labor was a FANTASTIC golf tournament held yesterday at Pine Island Country Club. The day started cold and windy but things improved from there. Golfer registration went off w/o a hitch. Golfers picked out their Oakley sunglasses premiums and then headed on the course. The tempatures went up, the wind died down, and everyone enjoyed an amazing day.
Dinner consisted of a truly authentic pig pickin - they literally cut a pig in half, stuck it on a grill, cooked it for 7 hours, and then picked the meat off and served it. YUM!!! The tournament was capped off by the Ultimate Putt Competition where one golfer walked away with a home theater system worth close to $5K. Enjoy the video and the pics!
