This past weekend we headed to Montreat with a bunch of families from both our small group and another small group from our church. We had experienced family campers as well as 4 families embarking on their FIRST trip! Everyone had a blast and more importantly (in my opinion) we treated our kids to a fantastic memory making experience. We had something like 17 kids there at one point and I think all of them thought it was the best weekend of the summer. I know Ellie liked it b/c on Sunday night when we were home getting ready to sleep in our nice comfortable beds she asked if we could go in the back yard and sleep in the tent again...huh?!?!
My kids favorite part was playing with friends, taking creek hikes, playing cards, and roasting marshmallows. My favorite part was watching my kids have a blast, hanging out with people in the laid back camp atmosphere, and enjoying the 15 degree cooler air up in the mountains!!
