My dad treated us to an awesome week long vacation in Hilton Head during early July. We had such a great time hanging out, going to the pool, going to the beach, great meals every night, and sharing in many of our favorite Hilton Head traditions (owners breakfast, wine and cheese party, pizza at Mellow Mushroom, etc...). It was also really cool to get to see some of our old friends like the Young's, Maria, Marco, and others.
I have to say one of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing my dad hang out with the grandkids. He had them over to his condo for a number of sleepovers during the week. They went on a big shopping trip where they got to pick out a dress AND their Christmas Present. The girls loved it all. Ellie and Ava really do relish the attention my dad gives them. It was also fun to see my dad conducting his informal "workshops" like he does every time we see him. This time it was some advanced tic-tac-toe tactics with Ellie at the Bonefish Grill and it was teaching Ava how to dive to the bottom of the 8 foot deep end. They love their grandpa and it shows!

ReplyDeleteSounds fun! Sad I was not there! Hopefully next year! Mellow Mushroom? What about JJ Pepporoni? Hmmmm... definetely need to make it down next year to keep up with the new traditions.
