Well...as I sit here this weekend in the cold rainy weather, I am definitely missing last weekend's warm, sunny, 80 degree, weather.
Last weekend we took FULL advantage of the fantastic weather and have the peeling skin to prove it... Saturday we headed over to Karin's parents house to check out the status of the new deck and pergola that Bruce is building. The kids LOVED playing all around the new waterfall and we enjoyed the shade provided by the new pergola. Next we headed to Jetton Park for a late picnic in the warm evening air. After enjoying our Harris Teeter subs we took a nice walk along the edge of the lake. Then we headed to Bruester's for some ice cream. Lynn had seen a sign that said they were giving free ice cream to anyone that came in their PJ's. The girls walked up to the counter in their matching heart PJ's and walked away with ice cream cones as big as their heads! It was an awesome way to end an awesome day.
Sunday morning we headed to church and then basked in the sun on the trampoline after lunch. Dan, Amy,and KY made it out to Highland Creek to check out the house and then we headed to our favorite HC park across from the eighteenth hole. The kids had a great time swinging, sliding, and feeding ducks. You really could not ask for a better weekend.
