Well I had a great 33rd birthday. March 27th was a cool rainy day but you would never know it by the energy and excitement found in the three birthday planners. Karin and the girls started things off with a breakfast of scrambled eggs and monkey bread, lunch at Johhny Bruscos, and a big family party for me and Bruce at the Wrays. Karin knows my motto on birthdays and I quote (I said it so I can quote it dan) "It aint a birthday without funfetti." She made me not one rainbow chip funfetti cake but TWO!!! She knows my other motto "the only thing better than funfetti on your birthday is funfetti leftovers the day after your birthday." Check.
Before heading to the Wray's for the party I opened presents at home - boxers from the girls, some sweet grilling equipment from Karin, and a 20 ounce surprise in the bottom of the gift bag - my first Fat Tire east of the Mississippi!!! Then we headed to Bruce and Lynn's where we had a total feast of grilled chicken, cheesburgers, broccoli salad, and this killer strawberry orange salad. Following that we had a really special time of encouragement for both Bruce and I, and then on to funfetti and presents.
It was a really nice day.
Thanks to everyone who sent me facebook birthday wishes, text messages, voice mails, e-mails, cards, and EVEN face to face wishes :)
