Sage is 9 months now! I can't believe how fast time is moving these days. It really does seem like just yesterday that we were in the hospital meeting our little girl for the first time. Sage seems to be in a bit of a hurry to catch up with her siblings so she is progressing through every baby stage in rapid fashion. We want her to just stay a baby for as long as possible, but she spends all day trying to keep up with the girls and Branson so I guess we should have expected that.
She started crawling just before her 6 month birthday and has been standing on her own since just before her 9 month birthday. She has been saying several words sort of on and off for a few months now - mama, dada, nonna, poppa, all done, ball, uh oh and even something that sort of resembles Ava once in awhile. She has decided she is over baby food and would much prefer to have a bite of whatever we are having or really a bite of anything as long as she can pick it up and bite it for herself. She claps, waves, gives a high five and even pats me on my back before I put her to bed at night - so sweet. She's feisty and passionate - either really happy or really mad/sad all of the time. She loves her sisters and Branson and they love her too. I suspect she will be walking within the next week or two which makes me kind of sad, but then I guess that's all part of growing up and it is sort of inevitable.
Here are few pics of Sage doing what she is done a lot of this summer - sitting in a swing or sitting in her stroller at swim team practice...
