Toys of Yesteryear: Train and Turnpike

Only in the northeast would this toy set have been a hit...and only in the 60's when the "turnpike" concept was still new and maybe exciting?....to pay to drive on a nice road.  However, this was a genius concept for a game.  One person can control an HO scale train, while two others control race cars that have to both race each other and cross the train tracks w/o being smacked by a locomotive!  If only the toy still worked :(
