They said it would never happen. That I could not part with my beloved used cars with all their wonderful scratches, dings, dents, and...straps in the place of door handles... But my lovely wife convinced me it was time. Thus, we introduce the newest member of an elite group of vehicles that have been honored to be called "The Family Truckster".
- 1997 Saturn SL2 (only car we have ever purchased new...). Weighing in at a little over 450 lbs and only slightly larger than a motorcyle.
- 1995 Eagle Vision Esi. Also referred to by James as "Money".
- 1997 Honda Accord. Owned for 1 year and the transmission fell out. Thanks for that.
- 1998 Camry. All 4 door handles fell off in the span of a year. Replaced with cargo straps and Shoe Gu.
- Dodge Intrepid. Engine light came on. Googled it and they said that the engine usually catches fire next. Hello CarMax.
- 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. AC unit condenses 5 gallons of water per hour...and it all puddles under the passenger side floor mat.
We welcome the 2005 Acura MDX into our family and hope for a more reliable relationship.
