We cannot get enough of Hilton Head Island! We love that place. For this second trip of the summer we went with 3 other great families: Conneely's with Caleb, Turner's with Reilly, and the Mobley's with a bun in the oven.
We rented a house on North Forest Beach Rd just down from the Grand Ocean Resort. It was a perfect house for our crew with a pool, huge screened porch, and a 3 minute walk to the beach via a beautiful path through the woods.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing Ellie and Ava hanging out with the other parents. Ava enjoyed sitting on the arm of a chair while Patrick or Laura fed Caleb. Ellie LOVED playing cards with Amber - they played cards for about 2 hours the one day...
The slideshow below tells the story of the week. The first 5 minutes or so are pictures followed by about 5 minutes of video that show the house, the walk to the beach, etc... Also, there is a bonus clip down below where Patrick is giving us the wing eating strategy that netted him a third place finish in a Charlotte wing eating contest a few years ago - you have to see this one!
